Submitting demos
Fancy a recording contract? You're not alone. And you're up against stiff competition! Send us your music and our in-house A&R team will listen to it and judge its overall merits. If we think you have what it takes, we will come to one of your gigs, hear how the musicians compliment each other, listen to your music, assess your performance and observe the way an audience reacts to you. If we like what we see and hear, we WILL sign you.
Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions we receive about submitting demos. Please read them. They will help you not to waste your time, or ours...
Where do I send my demo?
Rig Records
483 Green Lanes
London
N13 4BS
What formats do you accept?
CDs or DVDs only.
Can I email you an MP3?
No. If you can't even be bothered to burn a CD, then we're not interested in hearing from you.
Do you accept unsolicited material?
Yes we do. We listen to everything we receive.
And if you're not interested, can we have our CD back?
Yes you can, so long as you include an SAE. Otherwise, we'll bin it.
Do I have to send in a press pack?
No. What we are really interested in is your music. The most important thing you can send with your demo is your contact information so we can get in touch with you immediately if we like your music.
Should I call you to follow up?
No. You'll hear from us one way or the other - promise!
Are you looking for any particular style of music?
No. We are looking for good artists playing original music. So long as you write
all
your own music and play it live, then we want to hear it. So what are you waiting for?
